Bob Ubert

Bob Ubert has over 30 years mainframe experience and is a 21-year veteran of IBM specializing in IBM Security Server (RACF®).

Beginning his career at IBM in the Heartland Services Center, Bob served as a consultant on projects ranging from systems programming in the VM and MVS areas to coding a major assembler Object Access Method application. In 1993, he transferred to IBM's Education Company as an instructor in the security (RACF) and storage curriculum. In 2005, Bob joined IBM's Software Migration Project Office (SMPO) where he helped customers migrate to RACF and also provided technical sales support for Vanguard and zSecure products. Prior to joining IBM, Bob worked as a mainframe systems programmer for three Fortune 500 companies.

Bob serves a key role as part of the Vanguard Professional Services team providing RACF security assessments and remediation, ACF2 and Top Secret migration assessments and migration services. In addition, Bob provides training to customers attending Vanguard's annual security conference and Vanguard product and RACF education courses both at the Vanguard training center in Las Vegas, Nevada and at customer locations.
