
Sales Supervisor – Inside Sales
POSITION SUMMARY
The Sales Supervisor handles the day-to-day operation of Vanguard's inside sales operations to insure that the company achieves its revenue and margin goals. He or she, is the leader and role model for the team and sets the team's daily agenda, insures that account tactics are efficient and focused on driving revenue, creates a sense of urgency with the team, and coaches team members to help them sell the complete value of Vanguard's solutions. The sales supervisor will be evaluated on meeting monthly, quarterly, and yearly revenue and margin objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures that the inside sales team is motivated, works efficiently, and is capable of selling the company’s products over the telephone.
- Sets daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly team objectives and monitors the team’s performance against these plans.
- Develops call scripts based on major product, marketing, and financial initiatives.
- Ensures that the team is trained on the company’s products and on using effective sales techniques.
- Ensures that the team closes forecast deals as they have committed in the pipeline report.
- Closely monitors team actives and provides consistent focus and a sense of urgency to close sales as soon as they are capable of being closed.
- Acts as a Player/Coach and helps members of the sales team in prospecting, qualifying, negotiating, and closing business by matching product functions to customer pain points, and conveying the total business value of our products and services.
- Assists the sales team in understanding the customer’s organization to find the people who can discuss critical business needs, evaluate software, make purchase decisions, and authorize purchases.
- Ensures that the sales staff meets required quotas and corporate margin objectives for Vanguard’s software products, professional services, training, and user conference.
- Oversees all sales resource utilization and selling processes.
- Develops account management plans for all inside sales force personnel.
- Maintains an accurate pipeline and reports to management.
- Develops reporting facilities to track progress and activity on projects that utilize sales resources.
- Performs special assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong background in a call center or inside sales operation. Self-motivated with a strong history of quota attainment.
- Strong sales, leadership, and supervisory skills.
- Strong pipeline management, opportunity analysis, and contract negotiation skills.
- Entrepreneurial nature.
- Excellent telephone communication skills.
- Solid background in selling complex products through a telesales channel.
- Some knowledge of mainframe and/or other enterprise software products is a major plus.
- Computer literacy (Goldmine, Word and Excel).
- Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
LOCATION
This position is located in our Las Vegas, NV Headquarters.
EDUCATION AND TRAININGA Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required. Experience in outbound call center and workforce management technology is required. Inside sales experience in the software industry is a major plus.
