Rich Guski
Rich Guski, CISSP®, is a Professional Services Consultant with Vanguard Integrity Professional's elite Professional Services team. Guski, owner of GWizards Computing Consultants, contracted with Vanguard in 2011, where he contributes more than 40 years of experience in information systems and communications focused primarily on MVS and z/OS security.
Prior to Vanguard, Guski spent 27 years with IBM achieving the level of Senior Technical Staff Member while working on zSeries Security Design and Architecture. During his tenure, he participated in the design and development of multiple versions of RACF that included support for many RACF functions such as generic profiles, DFP always-call and the RACF Remote Sharing Facility. Guski was the architect for the CICS user identity propagation function and the program signature and verification support shipped in RACF for z/OS 1.10.
Guski holds multiple patents on security related software technology. He has co-authored numerous security related publications, including prominent articles for the IBM Systems Journal. In 2009, Guski was awarded the prestigious Vanguard Chairman's award.
Guski holds a BS in Computer Technology from the New York Institute of Technology and an AAS in Electronics Technology from Dutchess Community College. Additionally, he is a CISSP as certified by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC)2.
