Ernie Nachtigall has been working at IBM since 1969, starting in operations and system programming, eventually moving to application programming ("C", PL/1, PL/X, PASCAL, BASIC, COBOL, FORTRAN, FCL and ASSEMBLER). In 1971, he was the first in IBM Canada to become involved in the burgeoning discipline of cryptography and its associated implementations, participating in the code authoring of ATM, teller, PIN and 3270 emulation solutions which eventually led to assisting in the design of IBM's 4753 MVS system and authoring some of the original ICSF CMOS code. Although still residing in the Toronto Canada area, he continues to be involved through the Washington System's Center as one of their cryptography and security resources, assisting customers in the activation of their cryptographic systems and teaching installation and cryptographic programming workshops with a side specialty of understanding Atalla and Racal competitive implementations.

Jan Quach has been in the IT field for over 10 years and has worked on a wide variety of platforms. He started in 1998 performing hardware engineering and programming, designing embedded systems, mainly in assembler language and using z80 and early 16bit x86 architecture. In 2001 he transferred to an it-consulting firm, providing services in it-security, systems architect, hardware and software maintenance, networking, firewalls on platforms such as AS/400(IBM i), AIX (IBM pSeries), Windows w2k (MCSE - expired), Cisco (CCNA –expired), Nortel, a variety of linux OS, and HP equipment. Later he joined DMdata (Now IBM) in 2003 and started working on zSeries, mainly focused on security. Performing RACF administration, key management, strategies involving cryptography, CEX2 (4764 crypto processor), TKE and DKMS, servicing mainly financial institutions and the transport sector and has good knowledge in credit card payment systems (PCI compliance).

Joining KPMG in 2008, he now provides services in general it-security and compliance, auditing a variety of platforms, performs risk analysis, has good knowledge in standards such as ISO27001, ISO27002, Sarbanes-Oxley, SAS70, etc.

Paul de Graaff is the Global Information Security Officer and Senior Vice President for Global Operations and Systems at AIG. In this role, he has the corporate responsibly for the execution of AIG’s Information Security Program across all AIG’s business lines, as well as for strengthening AIG’s Information Security posture on a continual basis.

Mr. de Graaff joined AIG in March of 2007 as the Chief Security Officer with AIG Operations & Systems.

Prior to joining AIG, Mr. de Graaff held the Corporate Information Security Officer at Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation. Mr. de Graaff held Information Security consulting and management positions at ING, ABN/AMRO, IBM and UNISYS.

Mr. de Graaff was awarded the Top 100 IT Leadership Award in 2006 by Computerworld Magazine.

Mr. de Graaff holds a Bachelor‘s Degree in Applied Mathematics from the Open University of The Hague, The Netherlands.
