Hotel Information
Flamingo Las Vegas |
Welcome to Flamingo Las Vegas! This legendary hotel opened in 1946 as the first luxury hotel on the Las Vegas “Strip” by the infamous Bugsy Siegel. Since its mobster beginnings, this pink-hued property has survived many “explosive” changes on Las Vegas Boulevard, from the construction of mega-casino resorts to the destruction of landmark hotels such as the Stardust Hotel.
The 1960 version of Ocean's Eleven was filmed at the Flamingo, as well as a flashback sequence from the 2001 version of the film. Elvis Presley and Ann-Margret were also at the hotel in the romantic-comedy, Viva Las Vegas, which was filmed in 1964.
The Flamingo Las Vegas offers casual and fine dining, relaxation, nightlife, and a variety of entertainment. The hotel is centrally located on Las Vegas Boulevard, providing you with an opportunity to explore our hometown, Las Vegas!

The most convenient method of transportation to any Las Vegas hotel from the airport is by car. Travel time from McCarran International Airport to the Flamingo Las Vegas is approximately 15 minutes by automobile.
Transportation options including taxi cab, rental car and shuttle van are all available from the Baggage Claim level of the airport.
Ground Transportation
Taxi Cabs
Exit through Doors 1 to 5 of the Baggage Claim area to catch a taxi cab. The average metered fare to the Flamingo Las Vegas is $16.00, which includes an airport origination fee. Most taxi cab companies do not accept credit cards as payment.
In Las Vegas, taxi drivers cannot pick up passengers who flag or hail a ride from the street. If you require a cab, please proceed to the taxi line of any Las Vegas hotel or call one of sixteen taxi companies in town. Please be sure to buckle up, as all passengers are required to wear a seat belt.
Rental Car
The McCarran Rent-A-Car Center is located about three miles from the airport and is home to all major car rental companies. A free shuttle to the center departs from the airport every five minutes from Baggage Claim Doors 10 and 11. The airport is located next to two major highways, Interstate 15 and Interstate 215.
Shuttles
Shuttle vans and buses may be found on the west side of the Baggage Claim area, outside Doors 8 to 13. Shuttles tend to be the most economical transportation option. One-way fares start at $6.00 per person to hotels located on Las Vegas Boulevard and will cost a few dollars more for off-the-Strip hotels. By planning ahead of time, you can save money by purchasing a roundtrip shuttle ticket.
Parking
Valet and self-parking at the Flamingo Las Vegas, as well as most Las Vegas hotels, is complimentary.
