Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

 

The Senior Account Manager position calls on, receives calls from and manages all aspects of customer relationships and services for an assigned portfolio of Vanguard Integrity Professionals clients. The Account Manager’s job consists of a supporting client requests, managing client contract renewals and coordinating Vanguard Integrity Professional services. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for working without supervision and managing their portfolio from the concept to completion of the sales cycle. This office-based position will be specifically responsible for carrying out the following:

  • Receive inbound client calls, telephone or remotely communicate with current customers to sell software products, training and professional services.
  • Accurately keep up-to-date records in currently utilized CRM System and prepares sales reports, as required.
  • Possess exceptional business acumen and remain knowledgeable of company’s product/services to facilitate sales efforts.
  • Participate in customer/user training and other sales related seminars.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and acts with integrity at all times.
  • Must be able to formulate solutions and present products and solutions persuasively and effectively while linking benefits to the client’s business objectives and needs.
  • Must be accountable and demonstrate a high level of concern for work output.
  • Must be comfortable interacting, qualifying and selling to senior executives.
  • Must spend three hours a day working with clients on the phone.

Qualifications/Skills and Abilities

 

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience; Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing or related discipline, highly preferred.
  • IT industry account management experience or business to business sales of a technical nature.
  • Knowledge of computer software, software hardware, telecommunications or high-tech sector. Enterprise and mainframe information security highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • Experience working within contemporary CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated experience working with current office computer (PC literacy), and contemporary software tools, i.e., Microsoft Office.
  • High energy and self-motivated with the ability to work in a privately-owned, very entrepreneurial, team environment.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Telesales experience required.
  • Ability to work independently and be productive.
