Basic Purpose

Vanguard Integrity Professionals has several Trainee spaces available in the following positions: Client Care / Quality Assurance / Software Developer / Managed Services / IT Support. The successful incumbent will be joining our highly qualified team of professionals. Depending on company needs the Trainee will participate and coordinate with various departments and customers to resolve all technical and operational issues with Vanguard products and services. Apply and test changes to Vanguard’s products, develop and maintain test cases, assure regression, integration and system testing is efficiently and accurately performed. Performs moderately complex product design, systems analysis and programming activities which may require extensive research.

Duties

During your training, you will gain experience with the following:

  • z/OS, including a working knowledge of JCL, ISPF and SDSF, and security products (RACF, ACF2, and Top Secret).
  • Vanguard Security Solutions.
  • Conducting testing in other non-mainframe environments.
  • Using System Modification Program/Extended tools (SMP/E).
  • Microsoft Active Directory Users and Computer administration, Password resets, Microsoft Exchange mailbox administration.
  • Utilizing technical skills in design implementation and maintenance in the LAN/WAN.
  • Handle different tasks as they are assigned and follow through to completion.
  • Maintain Customer Support Database.
  • Write clear, concise and detailed information in customer case records.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

  • Junior / Senior or BS in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Must be proficient with PC.
  • High energy and self-motivated with the ability to work in a privately owned, very entrepreneurial, team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and be productive.
  • Excellent knowledge and work experience designing and developing complex software applications.
  • Proficient using programming software applications with C++ and C# .NET.
  • Proficient using Visual Studio.
  • Experience with security software systems development is preferred.
  • Knowledge using current Quality Assurance methodologies to conduct Quality Assurance testing required.
  • Must be detail oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
