Why do I need to attend one of these classes?

 

Because while you think your System z system is secure, there is a strong chance it is not. Our classes provide critical knowledge and hands-on skills in order to secure your enterprise.

How do I enroll in a course?

 

We encourage you to enroll at our web site, at http://www.go2vanguard.com/training/. You may also register by phone, by contacting the Vanguard training team at +1.702.794.0014.

How do I pay for the course?

 

You can be billed or pay via credit card by contacting the Vanguard Integrity Professionals Accounting Department at +1.702.792.0014. If paying by check, please mail it to the address on the invoice.

Can someone else from my company be substituted for me if I am unable to take the class?

 

Yes. Just contact the Vanguard Training Team at +1.702.794.0014. We also ask that you send notice of the substitution to us via email (trainingteam@go2vanguard.com) or in writing to Vanguard Integrity Professionals, 6625 S. Eastern Ave. Suite 100, Las Vegas, NV 89119 and Attention Training Department

Can I earn Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits?

 

Yes. The number of CPE credits earned vary by course and are subject to the rules laid out by the governing body for the title you hold (e.g. (ISC)2, ISACA, etc.). Contact them after you have completed the course. Typically attendees earn one CPE credit for every hour of training.

Is there a big difference between live and online classes?

 

No. While online sessions cannot match the one-on-one instruction of a live course, the course content and lab exercises for both types of classes are identical or similar.

If I sign up for a class and then something comes up to prevent me from taking that scheduled course, can I take the class at another time?

Can a class that I signed up for be cancelled or postponed by Vanguard?

 

While we strive to administer every class we schedule, it is possible for a class to be postponed due to insufficient enrollment or instructor conflicts. Should this occur, you will be contacted by the Training Department as soon as possible. All Vanguard training course dates, times, schedules, topics and prices are subject to change.

If a group of people from my company wants to enroll in a class, are group discounts offered?

 

Contact your Vanguard Integrity Professionals account manager for information on group discounts.

For live classes in specific locations, am I or my company responsible for hotel, air and ground transportation?

 

Yes. We work with local hotels to obtain the best rate available for class participants. We will communicate affordable hotel rates and ground transportation directions to you as part of a “Travel Planner,” notification to you. Hotel, airfare, transportation and meals are the financial responsibility of the class participant.

If I am taking an online class, how do I prepare my PC for the course?

 

A complete set of “how-to” instructions will be sent to you in advance of the class. We will ask you to run a test prior to the first day of the course. In addition, you will receive instructions for downloading course handouts via email from the Vanguard Training Department.
